Have A Question?

Thank you!

  • When Is The Best Time To Plant Shrubs and Trees?
The BEST time to plant nearly all Shrubs, Trees, and Lawns is in the Fall. Why? Because the air is still warm. But, more importantly, the GROUND is still warm. In the Spring you can have a day of warm air temps, but you're placing a the plant ground that is chilled!
  • Should I Plant A Seed or Sod Lawn
Most homeowners eventually face this question. If installed correctly, either will eventurally provide a new lawn. It really comes down to economics. What you're willing to spend in time and money. Usually a seed lawn has less overall cost. But, the soil preparation should be the same for both.
  • Is It Too Early To Prune My Roses?
Generally yes. In many parts of the country, Roses are still in bloom and fully leafed. That means they are still acitive and wish to be left alone for a couple more months. Late fall, early winter is the time to give your roses their annual maintenance pruning. Ideally, all or most of the leaves should have changed to a fall color and dropped from the canes. The rose is going into its dormancy and will react more favorably to severe pruning. For tips for Successfuly pruning your roses, and other dormant shrubs click on my Quick Guide To Pruning.
