FALL YARD & GARDENING
Generally yes. In many parts of the country, Roses are still in bloom and fully leafed. That means they are still acitive and wish to be left alone for a couple more months. Late fall, early winter is the time to give your roses their annual maintenance pruning. Ideally, all or most of the leaves should have changed to a fall color and dropped from the canes. The rose is going into its dormancy and will react more favorably to severe pruning. For tips for Successfuly pruning your roses, and other dormant shrubs click on my Quick Guide To Pruning.
